The Friendly to Seniors Program aims to improve attitudes on aging and to encourage the design of comfortable and accessible environments in our community.

Organizations can request an environment assessment preformed by senior volunteers, to find out how their physical layout can become "friendlier." They can also improve their customer service with our excellent training packages, that include educational videos, manuals to read, and participating in role playing games.  Our assessments are designed to tailor each business differently.

Some of the issues that the assessment deals with are safety of the building, lighting, and size of sign print.

Windsor's Friendly to Seniors Program  has made key creative contributions to the overall province! A Friendly to Senior business is a "friendly" Business to all.

Fees for the Friendly to Seniors Program:

  • Assessments - $75 per business (which include: full visual assessment of business/organization,  a written report conducted by a senior volunteer & trained staff member & a removable window decal).

  • Employee Training - $35 per employee - training varies from 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours depending on the needs & package that is developed for your business.

  • Donations - Non profit organizations
