Event Details:
The Aging With Vitality Expo was held June 1st and June 2nd
at the Caboto Club. The Expo was presented by the Falls Prevention Network and Council on Aging, Windsor-Essex County.
The over 2000 people who attended were greeted by volunteers,
including the Red Hat Society and Windsor Ambassadors .
There were 73 exhibitors present representing: Health and Wellness, Safety and Security and Recreation and leisure. Colasantis Tropical Gardens supplied the beautiful plants and greenery.
The Beauty and the Beats fashion show was a big hit.
“Happiness at Any Age” had the audience laughing through
out the presentation. The “When a trip is not a Vacation”,
“Home Sweet Home” and the “AAA-Awareness, Alertness,
Action” gave helpful information and tips to all who attended.
Muscle Up and Dance With Me gave a chance for audience
participation. The Looking Your Best / Feeling Your Best
portion of the program provided hints to improving your
appearance. The Maximizing Your Brain Power session saw a
very large turn out.
The crowd was provided with different types of entertainment,
from the Bell Choir, The Slow Pitch Four Quartette, and Miss Teen Windsor singing. Special thanks to Jim Crichton and Wayne Stevens for being the MC’s.
Walter Gretzky and Dave Broadfoot both brought their own
personal brand of humor and honesty that was greatly appreciated.
